The security of your personal information is important to PGD Canada, Inc. (“PGD Canada), and we respect your concerns. We have put strict policies into place to ensure that the privacy of your personal information is protected while still enabling you to make use of the services provided by PGD Canada. What information does PGD Canada collect?
PGD Canada collects annual reports, donor reports, community reports and newsletters from non-profit organizations across Canada. This information is all in the public domain by virtue of being published. PGD Canada only collects information that can already be found in any publicly available source. No private information or anonymous gifts are included in PGD Canada. Once the information is gathered from the publicly available sources, we enter the information into our secure database. It is made available to the public through an annual subscription service.

Collection and Use of Other Information
Like many other web-based service providers, PGD Canada collects limited non-personally identifiable information provided by your browser as you use our website and services. This is done in order to provide the best possible services to you and our other users. This non-personally identifiable information may include (but is not limited to) IP address, browser type, time and date of use, and any activity performed while on our web site or using our services. We may also place and/or read cookies on your computer to help us identify whether you have visited our site in the past so we can customize our services and your experience.

In order to make use of our online products and services you may be required to subscribe and register as a user. From time to time we may use your personal email address to send you information and keep you informed of security issues, product up-dates and services in which you might be interested in knowing about. You will always be provided with an opportunity to opt-out of receiving such information. Your contact information may also be used to reach you regarding issues concerning billing, your use of our services or our site, including changes to this privacy policy.

PGD Canada may aggregate subsets of non-personally identifiable customer data for the purpose of understanding our customer base, determining how we may serve you better, and enhancing the services we can provide you.

Credit Cards
When you subscribe to PGD Canada, you have a choice of payment from cheque, money order or credit card number (Visa or Mastercard). PGD Canada will not reuse this information in any way. Credit card information used for the purpose of purchasing PGD Canada’s subscription services will NOT be stored on our servers. They will be used for the one time transaction, and will have to be submitted upon renewal of the annual subscription service. PGD Canada and its website does not collect and retain user credit card information.

Security
The security of your personal information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information (such as credit card number) on our order forms, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). We use secure server technology to keep your personal information, including your billing and account information, as secure as possible. Your information is encrypted. Once information is stored in our database, we have security technologies and procedures in place to protect it from access by unauthorized employees or third parties.

We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. However, no method of Internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Security Passwords
PGD Canada has a strict policy in which we only send confidential subscriber account passwords or information to the email address given during the registration process. This ensures that your information is kept confidential. In order to activate your membership, all subscribers receive an email confirming their registration to our service. It is paramount that you NEVER give your password to anyone. Any distribution by you of your account name and password may result in cancellation of your subscription without refund and in additional charges based on unauthorized use.

Access to Personally Identifiable Information
If your personally identifiable information changes (contact/billing information, email address), you may email a request to update your information or change your information online when selecting “My Account’ on the navigation bar in PGD Canada’s database. You may also contact PGD Canada by telephone or postal mail using the contact information shown on the company web site.

Confidentiality of Personally Identifiable Information
PGD Canada will not sell, rent, license or otherwise share the personally identifiable contact information (i.e., your registration email address, billing address, etc.) that you submit in the context of registration for our services.

Unsubscribe/Opt-Out Requests
PGD Canada gives you the opportunity to ‘opt-out' of having us contact you with up-dates and news regarding our product. Service Providers
PGD Canada uses PayPal and TD Merchant Services to process credit card payments on our site. When you use a credit card to pay for PGD Canada’s services, your credit card information will be submitted to TD Merchant Services for verification. PGD Canada uses Verisign’s SSL technology to protect its web site. Disclosures under Law
We make every effort to preserve user privacy. We cooperate with legal authorities and comply to subpoenas, court orders, a legal process served on PGD Canada.

Children Guidelines
PGD Canada will not knowingly collect information from or about any children under 13 years of age.

Canceling Membership, Refunds and Contact Information
There are no refunds. Should you choose to cancel your membership and wish to no longer receive further communication from us, please email your request to yourpointofview@pgdcanada.com.

We will periodically review the appropriateness of this privacy policy and may make, in our discretion, changes as are necessary.
